Priorities

We seem to be drowning in our to-dos on a regular basis. It reminds me of Armstrong’s song ‘So little time – so much to do ‘. Everything looks like a priority but we only have 24 hours each day. How to solve this?
In the back of our minds we know that the pieces will eventually all fall into place but still, we are afraid of dropping the ball. Fear is a natural reaction to an uncertain and possibly negative outcome.

However, sometimes we can rest assured that we won’t be able to pull off everything on our list. In that case, rationality is our best adviser:


If you are to ‘drop the ball’, make sure it is the ball that will cause the least damage. In other words: take care of the most important things (those that are essential) and accept that you will miss the boat with other things from time to time…
